Six Months

Oliver is officially half a year old today! This month has been so much fun; his personality is really starting to come out and he's just such a cute little butterball. Here are some little tidbits about my six month old.

He is obsessed with sticking out his tongue. There are some days when it seems like his tongue is too big for his mouth because he's sticking it out constantly. It's so stinkin' adorable!

He's started babbling more and says "mamama" and "bababa." Sometimes I think he thinks he's really talking to us.

Oliver is our little squealer. If he gets frustrated or wants attention he'll scream at the top of his lungs. Sometimes it's really cute, and sometimes it really isn't.

He wants to eat real food so bad. He's constantly leaning toward our food or trying to swipe something off our plates. Unfortunately we've had a hard time introducing cereal to him; it really upsets his tummy and makes him super constipated. This month we'll be able to introduce other pureed baby foods so I'm hoping we'll be able to get his little digestive system regulated soon.

Ollie is following in his big brother's footsteps when it comes to sleep. As in he doesn't sleep. I'm lucky if he takes a long enough nap during the day or sleeps for any significant amount of time at night. It drives me and Sean completely crazy and I'm hoping we can get him sleeping better soon.

Oliver loves his daddy and big brother, and he gets so upset if they're playing without him. He just can't wait to be able to roughhouse and play with toys.

He has recently discovered his feet and is always playing with them and trying to shove them in his mouth.

Oliver absolutely loves his grandma and gets so excited when she comes to see him after work every day.

He really likes the Kokopax carrier I bought last month. I can put him in it if he's super fussy and I need to get stuff done around the house. A few weeks ago he even fell asleep in it while I was cleaning the house.

Ollie is really into textures. He loves to run his fingers over things that feel interesting to him. His two favorites: our ottoman and the brick wall outside our apartment. Silly kid!

He's getting close to being able to sit up on his own. He still needs a little assistance from Mommy or the sofa, but he's getting there!

I love my little Oliver and it's been so much fun watching him grow!

time sure does fly! He is adorable and has the same big gorgeous eyes as his big bro!

We have a stinker of a sleeper, too!!! I share your frustrations. Thank goodness they are awesome babies otherwise..;-)
