I'm an avid follower of Stephanie Nielsen (a.k.a. "NieNie") on the 'ole blogosphere, and she made this blog post today that I absolutely love. I think the advice she gives can be applicable in any mom's life. I'm going to try to implement these three simple steps so I don't feel so burned out all the time:
1. Make a "Quiet Time" sign and put it on my front door when I need a nap, or down time with the kiddo.
2. Make home a priority. Nothing ever comes before family time. Nothing.
3. Leave at least one day a week of nothing. No house-work, yard work, errands, shopping, computer, and cooking (among other things). Life just comes as it comes.
Sounds super simple, but I know that if I really try to focus on these things I'll feel so much happier and more content; not to mention I'll have more time to spend with this little munchkin.

What other things would you add to this list in order to stay happy, energetic, and avoid getting burned out as a mom?

Wow! I really like those suggestions!! Especially the quiet time one! I hate it when people knock on my door when I'm taking a nap...I mean when Davey is taking a nap with me!
